my dentist fears!!!

Now before I tell you my tale of woe i have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dentist...he's the best, however....I swear every time i go in there i come out in PAIN!!!! I had a tooth that was causing a bit of pain so I call my dentist and he gets me in right away, on his half day no less, looks at my tooth and says no problem we need to put a filling in. (GREAT, NOT!!!) So he numbs me up and right there i knew something wasn't right. It was a lot more painful than normal Lidocain. But i don't say anything cuz he's doing me a favor, he does his thing and 20 minutes later I'm out of there. Knew filling and as numb as can be. An hour later I'm balling my eyes out ( and OK lets face it I'm a baby, wimp, ete...always have been always will be!) So i call up my dentist, catch him as he's leaving and tell him I'm in really bad pain...long story short....he accidently hit a nerve while injecting the lidocain...tells me to take ibuprofen and it should feel better in a couple of days?????????? did i tell you I'm a baby, wimp, ete...holy crap the whole left side of my face, jaw and even sinus is still throbbing. I'm sucking it up but i think the next time I have a tooth with a bit of pain I'll just deal with the bit of pain!!!!!

Up date on dad

we had dads radiation oncology appointment on Wednesday. He gave dad some good information,did a therral exam, and went over all dads records with him. In the end dad and mom have decided that radiation isn't that route they would like to take. They have decided together that they would like to do Hospice care in the home and make dad as comfortable as possible for however long he's here with us. Keeping in mind that Dr. Bible, his oncologist, plans on dad being around for awhile. But he thought it would be good to start the process of hospice now so that dad could have some input into his care later on down the road.
I just got off the phone with my sister Liz and we were talking about how weird this all is to us. How we're talking about our hero, our daddy...possibly not being here with us this time next year. How easy it is to talk about all this until...we both realized we were...talking about this....and...we no longer could talk about it...just switched subjects and at the end of our phone call she said " OK, I'm better now" I love her to death, because I was better now too...

Note to self....don't EVER...EVER try to out drink your 21 year old daughter EVER!!!!! Did I mention EVER!!!!
Darrick and Shannon have started a new tradition, now that she's of age. They meet up at Whistle Binkies every Sunday for bloodymary bar ( oh yeah Whistle Binkies has a bloodmary bar for 3.00 and rusty truck beer for 1.00 every sunday, just thought you'd like to no) anyway they do this to catch up and have some father-daughter talk. (sweet) I decided to come along yesterday (sunday) and thought i could out drink them both...WRONG...We got there at 5ish and i remember being poured into bed 7:30ish, with a few mocking comments from them both...i think it was something like "light weight and cheap date" WHAT EVER!!! Needless to say I woke up at 12 (midnight) and relize I'm OLD....when did that happen????? I use to be cool and hip ( oh god did i just use the word hip i am old!!!) I'm going back to bed and hope i wake up at least some what COOL again!!!!
